The New Kid in Town
Elder Barker waits for church members to arrive for his first Sunday service in The Plains, on Sunday morning, June 1. As costomary, Barker replaced Elder Merrill after Merrill worked in Southeast Ohio for about six months. Although Mormon missionaries always spread the gospel in pairs, each is transferred to a different post and is assigned a different partner a few times during the two-year mission.
